Message For our cars, I still use conventional to break in engines.

Road & Track said, "we can only conclude that improvements in cylinder-wall finish and ring design or materials makes this possible."

I know Porsche and Nissan (for the GTR) break in their engines on a dyno at the factory, as the hawk alluded to.
